1. What cookies we set

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser. Dant3 uses three categories of cookies and equivalent local-storage entries:

  • Essential — sign-in sessions, CSRF protection, load balancing, and the free-view counter for signed-out visitors. Cannot be disabled because the site cannot function without them. Legal basis: legitimate interest / contractual necessity.
  • Analytics — anonymous, aggregated product usage. Off by default. Enabled only after you tap “Accept all” or opt in from the customise panel. Legal basis: consent.
  • Marketing — personalised suggestions, referral attribution. Off by default, opt-in only. Legal basis: consent.

2. Your choices

You can accept all, reject all, or customise per category from the banner. Your choice is stored locally with a timestamp and a policy version. If we change this policy in a way that affects your rights, we re-prompt you.

3. Your rights

Depending on where you live you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@dant3.net and we will respond within 30 days.

4. IP-linked free-view counter

Signed-out visitors can browse up to 5 pages inside Dant3. To enforce this fairly we store a salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address together with the paths you visited. We never store the raw IP or your user agent, and the counter is not linked to any profile. This processing is strictly necessary to prevent abuse of the free tier (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest).

5. International transfers

Data may be processed on infrastructure located in the EU, UK or US. Where transfers happen outside the EEA/UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

Essential entries: for the length of your session. Free-view hashes: 30 days rolling. Analytics / marketing entries: at most 13 months, per EDPB guidance.
